“I Am Legend 2” (2025) is an upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, serving as a direct sequel to the 2007 hit film I Am Legend, starring Will Smith. In this sequel, Smith reprises his role as Dr. Robert Neville, a brilliant scientist who was believed to have sacrificed himself in the original film’s explosive climax. However, the story is set to explore an alternate ending where Neville survived, giving the franchise a new direction.

The plot follows the aftermath of the viral outbreak that turned the majority of the human population into vampire-like creatures known as “Darkseekers.” Years have passed since Neville’s last encounter with these creatures, and humanity’s struggle for survival has intensified. While society has mostly crumbled, small groups of survivors have managed to stay alive, building safe havens and seeking a cure for the virus that caused the devastation.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joins the cast as a new character, a hardened and resourceful survivor leading one of the last remaining human enclaves. His character and Neville form an uneasy alliance as they attempt to work together in the hopes of finding a permanent cure for the virus. However, the Darkseekers have evolved, becoming more intelligent and organized, posing an even greater threat to humanity’s survival.
