I’ll Never Forget What You Did Last Summer” (1998)
Julie James thought she had finally left her past behind. A year after narrowly escaping a killer’s revenge, she was doing her best to move on with her life, though nightmares and sleepless nights were still her reality. The horrifying events of last summer, when she and her friends covered up a hit-and-run accident only to be stalked by a killer with a hook, lingered like shadows she couldn’t escape.
Her best friend, Karla, saw how haunted Julie still was, and in an attempt to lift her spirits, she entered a radio contest. To their surprise, Karla won an all-expenses-paid trip to a luxurious island resort in the Bahamas. A perfect getaway! She convinced Julie to come along, promising that this trip would be the fresh start she needed.
Along with Karla’s boyfriend, Tyrell, and Julie’s new friend, Will, they flew to the island, ready for a weekend of sun and relaxation. The resort was everything they had hoped for: beautiful beaches, warm weather, and freedom from the stresses of everyday life. But as night fell, a sudden tropical storm hit, trapping them on the island and cutting them off from the outside world.
That’s when things started to go wrong.
The resort staff began to act strangely, and Julie noticed unsettling signs: a familiar name scrawled on a hotel check-in sheet, a shadow in the corner of her vision. Her sense of dread returned, but her friends assured her it was all in her head—that she was just imagining things. But when they stumbled upon a message painted in blood-red letters that read, “I still know what you did last summer,” panic set in. It couldn’t be him… could it?
Before long, they were being stalked again—by a figure carrying a deadly hook, lurking in the shadows and watching their every move. One by one, the group began to fall, each encounter revealing the killer’s sadistic plan. Julie realized with terror that the person responsible knew everything about them, down to the last detail of what they had done.
Desperate to survive, Julie and her friends fought to stay together. She confronted her worst fears as she tried to make sense of what was happening, all while being hunted across the resort’s empty halls and storm-soaked beaches. Each step they took, every hiding place, only seemed to bring them closer to the relentless figure that haunted her dreams.
Then, just when all hope seemed lost, the true identity of the killer was revealed—a twist that turned Julie’s world upside down. The past she had tried so hard to forget had come back to claim her, and this time, it seemed like there would be no escape.
In a final, heart-pounding showdown, Julie faced her nightmare head-on, determined not to let the past consume her again. The island, shrouded in darkness and storm, became the stage for one last battle—a fight for survival against a killer who refused to let the past die.
And as the storm finally broke, Julie was left wondering if she’d ever be free from the horrors of that summer, or if some things are meant to haunt you… forever.
